Research themes: Katrien Van de Vijver is a PhD Candidate with the Centre for Archaeological Sciences at the KU Leuven. Her PhD research focuses on the bioarchaeological study of the human remains from St. Rombout’s cemetery in Mechelen, Belgium. She has also conducted the study of the human remains recovered from the site of Sagalassos, Turkey, during the 2012 and 2013 excavation campaigns. Her excavation experience includes multiple sites in Belgium, the cemetery on Kephali Hill (Crete) and Sagalassos (Turkey).
