Parchinah-Hakalan

Parchinah - Hakalan

The graveyards of Parchinah and Hakalan, located along the Maimah river and dating back to the middle Chalcolithic period, are the only burial sites of importance of that period so far excavated in Luristan Pusht-I Kuh. Part of both sites was excavated by Prof. Louis Vanden Berghe in 1971 (7th. expedition), 1972 (8th. expedition) and 1973 (9th. expedition).
